Auditory Processing Excellence - Evaluation and Therapy Specialists
Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) is the term used to describe how your brain identifies, categorizes, analyzes, and makes sense of the auditory information it receives. It is when this process is disrupted that a disorder is present. At Urban Hearing, our audiologist will perform an assessment to evaluate, diagnose, and formulate intervention strategies. If diagnosed, our team offers rehabilitating therapy for persons suspected of having auditory processing disorders. We will be with you from the very start until your APD improves. Our team works virtually with patients in New York and surrounding states. We also support clients internationally in Bermuda.
Auditory Processing Services Offered
Insurance Policy
Urban Hearing does not accept insurance or work directly with insurance companies. Families are responsible for the total cost of the diagnostic evaluation when services are rendered. We are happy to provide a payment plan for our patients enrolled in our individualized therapy program. Billing codes can be provided upon request before scheduling an appointment so families can determine what services may or may not be covered by their policy. We are also happy to call your insurance provider and request authorization on your behalf. Our goal is always to provide the best service. If something doesn't meet your expectations, we are happy to do what we can to make it right. There are no refunds for services already rendered. Their services—auditory assessments, training, and treatments—are FSA-eligible expenses.
